Daniel Tawse is from Newcastle. They spent their childhood going on adventures in the wilds of Northumberland, and teenage years writing diaries about how much they didn’t fit in. Nowadays, Daniel spends their time turning those diaries into stories for a wider audience, and is an advocate for queer representation and visibility in the arts. Through their work, Daniel aims to provide authentic queer characters to demonstrate positive and relatable queer voices for all readers. Elsewhere, Daniel has studied theatre at the Arts Educational Schools, London, and holds a master’s degree in British History from the University of Northumbria. Daniel’s joyfully queer debut, All About Roman(ce), was published by Hachette in 2023. Daniel is currently working on their second book, Emmy Star is So Everything which will be published in 2024 with Hachette.
