The Lindsay Literary Scholarship 2023
THE Lindsay Literary Agency has been sponsoring an underrepresented writers’ place since 2018 and we are delighted to announce we will again be supporting an attendance writers’ place at the SCBWI (Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators) conference weekend in Manchester from 4th-5th November 2023.
The 2023 scholarship will be awarded to a children’s fiction writer (Young Fiction, Middle Grade or Young Adult) from an underrepresented background. The funding covers the cost of attendance with access to all workshops and talks together with a 1-1 manuscript tutorial with founder of the Lindsay Literary Agency, Becky Bagnell.

Who Can Apply?
Traditionally underrepresented* writers or writers/illustrators who are financially unable to come to the SCBWI BI annual conference, may apply. Applicants can be unpublished or self-published, but not previously traditionally published. You must be unagented. Applicants must reside in the British Isles.
Each submission will be judged solely on the work submitted and its potential, and the statement supplied.
