DONNA David grew up in the West Midlands in a house full of noisy siblings, fun parents, mad aunties and maggots (her dad is a fisherman). She’d often be found reading by torch light way after bed time and this love of reading has never left her.
Donna has a degree in English from Loughborough University and currently works as an English coach at the local secondary school. She is married to an RAF pilot and she has worked closely with the charity Little Troopers on a series of picture books written for military children. Donna’s picture book debut, Oh No, Bobo! was illustrated by Laura Watkins and was published by Quarto. This was followed by a series of new books the first of which Trains, Trains, Trains was illustrated by Nina Pirhonen and published on World Book Day 2022 by Macmillan. There are four books in this series, the second Cars, Cars, Cars was followed by Planes, Planes, Planes and most recently Trucks, Trucks Trucks. Donna’s standalone title, Farmer Llama illustrated by Fred Blunt was also published by Macmillan. Most recently Donna has written the first in a new series Would You Rather? Halloween illustrated by Eamonn O’Neill. The second title in the series will be published in 2024.
Donna loves writing for children and teenagers and thinks that a child’s imagination is the best place in the world! You can find out more about Donna on her website www.donnadavidauthor.com/books
