KATE Peridot is an author of both fiction and non-fiction children’s stories who lives with her family in the south of France. She has a degree in Business Management Studies and has worked as a brand manager for food companies, a publicity officer for charities and a freelance writer for magazines. In 2014, her children’s story, The Elephant Carnival, won a Walker Books Animal Stories competition for 4-7-year-olds. In 2015 she won the Winchester Festival, First Pages of a Novel award for a YA concept. Kate has studied creative writing at The London School of Journalism, Curtis Brown Creative and as a member of SCBWI. In her spare time, Kate loves to hike, ski, swim and explore the world. Kate’s first non-fiction children’s book, Caring Conservationists will be published in 2022.
