DONNA David grew up in the West Midlands in a house full of noisy siblings, fun parents, mad aunties and maggots (her dad is a fisherman). She’d often be found reading by torch light way after bed time and this love of reading has never left her.
Donna has a degree in English from Loughborough University and currently works as an English coach at the local secondary school. She is married to an RAF pilot and she has worked closely with the charity Little Troopers on a series of picture books written for military children. Donna’s first YA story, Bruised was published by Badger Learning in 2018, her second Being Dan was published in 2019 and she has a new one, County Lines which also came out in 2019. Donna’s picture book debut, Oh No, Bobo! is illustrated by Laura Watkins and was published by Quarto in 2020. Donna is currently working on a new book, Farmer Llama illustrated by Fred Blunt which will be published in 2021 by Macmillan.
Donna loves writing for children and teenagers and thinks that a child’s imagination is the best place in the world! You can find out more about Donna on her website www.donnadavidauthor.com/books
